Four Ways to Look Stylish on a Budget
Just about everything is more expensive than it was just a few years ago and that includes clothing.
However, you can still look stylish by following these four tips…

Make a list
Just like grocery shopping, make a list of what you need before you head to the store or go online.
For example, new white blouse, black shoes etc.
Also, make note of how much you’re willing to spend on each item.
Tell yourself you’re going to stick to the list and budget.

Discount Days
Many stores have certain days where they offer discounts, especially for seniors. And no, you don’t have to even be 65 to score that discount, many are for those 55 and older.
If you’re not quite there yet, maybe ask someone who is if you can shop with them on discount day, have them pay and then reimburse them.

Consignment and Thrift Stores
These are some of my favorite places to check out clothes at bargain prices.
The best thing is you can score some designer name clothing at a fraction of the cost of buying them new.
Some thrift stores are affiliated with charities so you’re giving back as well as getting a bargain.
My local charity store helps people find low-cost accommodation and it has a vast array of clothing, shoes and jewelry. I often find designer jeans in great condition for just $9.

Outlet Malls and Discount Stores
Yes, not all that say they’re a bargain actually are so do your homework. However, you can save a bundle and yes, you do have to wade through all the racks of clothing; however, when you save a few hundred dollars it’s probably worth the effort.
Shop Off Season
You can save money, for example on back to school clothing, if you shop in October. You can save money on swimsuits when you shop for them in June. The store seasons generally start about a month or two before people actually need to wear the clothing. Ever wonder why they’re selling swimsuits in February?
