It’s Almost 2024
Tomorrow it’s the first day of winter…or summer depending on where you live. 2023 seems to have rushed by. I didn’t post as often as I’d planned or wished because I had a big project to work on. That’s behind me now so I can focus on this site and my other business ventures. One being the Budget Smart course…in fact, I already started on the outline. I’ll fill you in more about the project as it progresses. I hope to post more money saving and making making tips here, at least once, maybe twice a week. Outside of the site, I’ll be teaching 15 writing classes…e-mail me at writerslifeblog@gmail.com…

Monday Motivation-Needs versus Wants
A key component of being budget smart is buying only what you need and not what you want. Make a New Year resolution to think about this principle before you make a purchase.

Monday Motivation-Little is Sometimes More
Sometimes overspending and having too much stuff causes you to worry about how you’ll pay for it or how will you afford the repairs when something goes wrong…which it will. Think before you buy and make not keeping up with the Joneses your New Year resolution.

Upcoming Budget Smart Girl Course-Beta Testers Needed
I’m planning a Budget Smart Girl course and will begin working on it early next year. I’d love to get feedback as I make my way through the modules and lessons so I’m looking for about five maybe more, people who would love to be part of my focus group/beta testers. You’ll receive the lessons and other materials I add to each module and then you’ll give me feedback as to its content and if you learned something new and how valuable you found it to saving or making money. If you’re interested you can contact me at budgetsmartqueries@gmail.com

Monday Motivation-Happiness Doesn’t Cost Money
We often tell ourselves we’d be happy if we had more of this and that, more money, a bigger house, a faster car. Ask many people who have had great fortunes and everything their heart desires and they’ll tell you they still felt they needed more. Today and going into the new year, sit and think about what truly makes you happy. Sometimes it’s the simple things like taking a walk in nature, spending time with family and friends etc. The good news is lots of the things that make us happy don’t cost a fortune.
