February Good Buys
Welcome to February.
The shortest month of the year but there are still bargains to be found so let’s dive in…

Valentine’s Day Gifts
Chocolates, flowers, jewelry, cards, stuffed animals. You might find some deals prior to Feb 14th but be sure to look out for discounted prices after the big day. Lots of them can be used for birthday and even holiday gifts too.
Winter Clothing & Outerwear
Coats, sweaters, scarves, gloves, boots.
Winter Sports Gear
Skiing and snowboarding equipment, snowshoes, and accessories.
Home Appliances
Sales on kitchen gadgets, vacuum cleaners, and other household essentials.

Electronics
Laptops, smartphones, TVs, headphones, and smart home devices, especially after New Year’s promotions end.
Mattresses
These often go on sale during Presidents’ Day weekend.
Toys
Many toy retailers offer discounts after the holiday season so if your budget allows why not buy a few and put them away for the next holiday season or even birthdays.
Fitness Equipment
Discounts on home gym equipment, including treadmills, weights, and accessories, due to New Year’s resolutions winding down.

Winter Home Decor
Blankets, throws, and other cozy items to prepare for the colder months.
Cookware and Kitchen Essentials
February sales often include discounts on pots, pans, and other kitchen items.
At the Grocery Store

Fruits
Citrus fruits (oranges, grapefruits, lemons) – Peak season for citrus, so sales are common.
Pineapples You can find some great deals and one of my favorite things is dehydrated pineapple so buy an extra one and treat yourself to a sweet treat later in the year.
Apples are still in season and often on sale, especially varieties like Fuji and Gala.
Bananas are always a common sale item and perfect for stacking or slicing and piling on top of your oatmeal.

Vegetables
Root vegetables (carrots, potatoes, sweet potatoes).
Brussels sprouts – In season and usually go on sale during the winter months.
Winter squash (butternut, acorn) – These are in season and sometimes discounted in February.
Cabbage is usually a great buy all winter long and makes a great side dish, ferment it and even make your own coleslaw.
Kale and other hearty greens are often on sale now.
Here’s to a great saving month.
