We’re heading into the last few posts of the year so I thought I’d dedicate this one to how to make money in 2021 and then on Thursday how to save money in 2021.
For the last few weeks, I’ve been doing research, looking for trends, listening to forecasts and trying to figure out the best way we can make money in the next twelve months. Things are getting harder to predict these days but here are some ideas
Whether it’s by necessity or choice, I think more parents are going to be homeschooling their children in the coming years. Anyone that can help them, whether it be a teacher or someone who sells supplies for parents, maybe even software their children can use, is going to be in demand.
I think for lots of people, working from home, whether it be for a company or your own business, is going to be a trend that’s here to stay. Some people will need help setting up equipment, software or even getting and keeping them organized and that’s where you could step in and offer your services. I’m even seen trends for people building tiny house offices/pods in their backyards. If you have any carpentry skills that could be another option for you. Once they’re built, even interior designers might find some work in setting up the perfect home office.
More people have been spending time at home. I have seen lots of articles about people gaining weight, not only because they haven’t been going to a health club but because working from home puts more food temptations in your way…I’ve worked from home for 20 years and I know that’s oh so true! If you’re a health or fitness instructor, nutritionist, you could put together a program for them, even train them via Zoom.
Most of us have felt added stress this year so anything that helps people relax is going to be huge. Essential oils, meditation practices, counseling…if you have skills in anything like this, jump on the opportunity.
Whether it be out of necessity or choice, I’m hearing that lots of people are buying land and moving away from cities. Some of them want to set up homesteads and learn how to farm, raise animals, keep bees. Have any of those skills or are a homesteader yourself? If you answered yes, then you are going to be in demand.
Lots of people have lost jobs or had to close their business and they’re going to be looking for what’s next for them. Have experience in career planning or even writing resumes, I think 2021 and beyond is going to be a great time to earn a living helping others find a new way to earn a living.
Hope these help your brainstorming session kick into top gear.
