Find Fellow Entrepreneurs and Find Help

Do you sometimes think if only I could find someone to help me set up my business, or a person the offer suggestions on how to grow my business?

One of the downsides of working for yourself is you often don’t know who to turn to when you have a question. Or maybe you want to take your business to the next level and don’t know what path you should take.

I’ve always been lucky that I’ve been in groups or been on e-mail lists of fellow entrepreneurs. None of us can do this alone. I went searching online and found the following groups and/or organizations that you might like to check out-

Worldwide Entrepreneurs

This one operates in 61 countries-

Mentors

There’s nothing like connecting with people who have already done what you’re trying to achieve and SCORE has retirees that are able to help get you started or can answer questions about just about any business topic-

Small Business Adminstration

Check out SBA online and also they have SBA offices in just about every state. You can make an appointment and meet with people who are closely matched to your needs

Chamber of Commerce

One place to check out is your local chamber of commerce. When I began freelancing I joined my local one and they had breakfast business meetings where you could mingle with other entrepreneurs and local business people. They also had a networking group where we’d meet each week. I found one client through the group who continued to be a regular client for five years and he also put me in touch with other people and that brought in more work for me.

BSG

Yes, our own Budget Smart Girl community. That’s what we’re here for. Tell us what you need help with the most. I’m guessing someone’s going to have the answer.

And as a side note, I’m hoping to get a regular weekly spot going where we highlight one of you to share your story about what you do and how you got started. Feel free to pass this along to your own communities. Think of this as free advertising and you can never do better than that!

E-mail me at budgetsmartqueries@gmail.com if you want to be featured or maybe there’s someone you’d love to know more about.

If you don't want to miss all the good things coming up on Budget Smart Girl, including special deals, be sure to sign up to become a subscriber.
