budget talk,  What's On Sale

November Good Buys

It’s hard to believe but on Saturday it’s November.

Colder weather, Thanksgiving and yes, you can find bargains on many items as stores try to compete with one another for your hard-earned money.

If you have some extra cash in your budget this month then it’s a good time to buy two of something and store it for use in 2026 and beyond.

Things like flour…yes, it freezes great. Canned foods like greens beans.

I always say as long as it’s something you use and something that you eat often, stocking up is never a waste of money.

And of course, there are plenty of fresh items that will be somewhat cheaper now and include-

Artichokes

Broccoli

Brussels sprouts

Carrots

Pumpkin

Sweet potatoes

Apples

Blood oranges

Cranberries (these are great for freezing)

Pears

Check out sales on turkey. I know it’s not in everyone’s budget, especially these days but if you can buy two and freeze one or even buy an extra one, cook it, and then divide up the meat and freeze it for meals throughout the coming winter months.

November means sales, including Veteran’s Day and also the biggest one of all Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Get your list ready and start comparing prices. Remember knowing what’s a good buy and what’s not is how you win at paying the lowest price of them all. Never be fooled by the words on sale or discounted.

Until next time, happy savings.
