Start off 2026 with Savings
A happy New Year to you. I hope it’s going to be a good one for you.
There’s lots happening this month.
Did you know it’s not only January but Canuary too?
It’s basically a challenge to see how much canning you can get done. I’ve been too busy to follow along but I was thinking about a challenge of our own next month. The rush of the holidays is over, it’s a short month, so why not? What do you think about a pantry challenge or stock your pantry challenge?
Leave a comment and let me know or even drop me an email at budgetsmartqueries@gmail.com.
It’s also bread machine month, slow cooking month…the list goes on. It got me thinking about learning new food skills. Maybe how to make sourdough bread, homemade jam…
Let me know what you think about a challenge or month long feature about learning something new.
And finally, we all know the majority of us have been struggling with the higher prices, especially groceries. I’ve been a customer of Imperfect Foods for about six years now. It’s not one of those deals where they send you meal prep stuff and you cook it, or a service where you get sent stuff you don’t want or hate. It’s pick what’s in the grocery box, skip a week or a month, cancel anytime sort of deal. I’ve found some real bargains. Until January 27th they’re offering you (and yes, me too if you sign up through the link) $25 off of our groceries.
Here’s the link and thank you if you use it.

Until next time, happy savings.
