Friday Round Up-Frustration About Trying to Save Money

Happy Friday to you…60 degree weather is on the horizon and I’m doing a happy dance.

Spring Cleaning

It’s not quite spring yet but this warmer than normal weather put me in a cleaning and organizing mood. Last Saturday I spent the day cleaning the kitchen pantry and cupboards, reorganizing and yes, decluttering too. By the end of the day I was pleased with my achievement, the pile of things I threw away, and I even have some items to take to the local consignment store.

Lower Fish Prices

It’s now officially Lent which means lower prices on all things fish, not only in the supermarkets but restaurants too. Lots of them have all you can Friday fish fry. A great time to stock up or treat yourself to a night of dining out, especially if where you live is miles from the ocean…AKA fish costs a lot!

Frustration at Trying to Save Some Money

It’s usually Mondays that have me saying it’s one of those days, but this week it’s been today, Friday. I spent almost two hours on line trying to get a better deal on some domain renewals for my various business ventures. I thought I was making waves and getting a super good deal but when it came to check out time, well, I hate to say it but I think they were trying to pull the wool over my eyes and I wasn’t getting the deal they promised me. Not only was I frustrated about that but the time away from actually working. It has however, given me a great idea for a post on the topic so stay turned.

Make Your Own Beauty Products

I saw this post on the Dollar Tree blog and it’s all about making your own sugar scrub. Yes, those things can be pricey and this proves how simple and inexpensive they are to make. I have tried making them with sugar, oil and a few drops of essential oil which make great scrubs for your hands if you’re doing an at home manicure.

Have a fun weekend and a money saving week.
